Today, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, results were summarized with regard to the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign for cleaning of the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan that was held from April 15 until June 15. As it was reported by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, all in all, from the beginning of a two-month campaign, by efforts of all the authorities, 1595 locations of unauthorized waste placement were revealed, whereof 1419 locations were liquidated making up 89%.

Today specialists of CSIAM (Central Specialized Inspectorate of Analytical Monitoring) of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will go on an expedition along the Volga on a patrol vessel of eco-analytical monitoring “Flamingo” with the nature protection “Volga-M” complex.  The route “Kazan-Chistopol” will take, on the average, 7 days.

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection, an environmental and educational event devoted to the International Day of environmental protection took place in the Museum of the Natural History of the Kazan Kremlin. The event took place with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan at the initiative of the Committee for Ecology and Housing and Communal Services of the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, regional division of the All-Russian public organization “Centre of Environmental Policy and Culture”, the Museum of the Natural History of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Rating and methods of evaluation were elaborated subject to the orders of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and they comply with the world analogs and criteria of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Methodology for ecological rating preparation was elaborated for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation by Ernst & Young.
