“Of Course, Science!”

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection, an environmental and educational event devoted to the International Day of environmental protection took place in the Museum of the Natural History of the Kazan Kremlin. The event took place with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan at the initiative of the Committee for Ecology and Housing and Communal Services of the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, regional division of the All-Russian public organization “Centre of Environmental Policy and Culture”, the Museum of the Natural History of the Republic of Tatarstan.

School pupils from different districts of the city of Kazan took part in this environmental event. An ecological quiz was held for pupils as well as the movie “Ecology is the Future of Russia” was demonstrated and the scientific and educational show “Of Course, Science!” was organized.

According to organizers, to carry out such events is of great importance for young generation’s  careful attitude to environment and it can become a good start in environmental culture formation.
