Artem Sidorov: “Our task is to make the map of our Republic remain as green as today”

Today, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, results were summarized with regard to the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign for cleaning of the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan that was held from April 15 until June 15. As it was reported by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, all in all, from the beginning of a two-month campaign, by efforts of all the authorities, 1595 locations of unauthorized waste placement were revealed, whereof 1419 locations were liquidated making up 89%.

During a two-month sanitary campaign, 10,762 violations in the field of production and consumption waste management were revealed and terminated; following the results of revealed violations, 179 companies and organizations of the Republic, as well as 1,034 officials were held liable for committed violations; more than 6,000 protocols were drawn up with regard to the offenders. Imposed fines amounted to 18.5 million rubles.

Sixty one file was referred to public prosecution bodies with regard to the organizations that committed grossest violations. Moreover, the Ministry arranged claim settlement with regard to indemnification for the damage inflicted on the environment following illegal placement of production and consumption waste. Twenty two claims were filed against the offenders totaling approximately to 134.5 million rubles, and they are currently handled at judicial authorities.

“We set a task to provide to the utmost for interaction between all the nature protection services. Federal supervision bodies, as well as republican bodies were working together, and municipal surveillance was conducted as well. City councils conducted great work with regard to enhancement of ecological waste collection and removal; they arranged sanitary cleaning of territories. Additional human resources along with automotive equipment were attracted; check-out schedules were prolonged.

In the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign as well as preparation for the World Summer Universiade 2013, special attention was paid to Kazan. Despite the fact that a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign is over, all the supervision authorities continue working in heavy regime. First of all it is related to the upcoming Universiade”, reported Artem Sidorov.

Moreover, Kharis Musin, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Liliya Gaynutdinova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage (RosPrirodNadzor) for the Republic of Tatarstan, Naim Zamaliev, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (RosSelkhozNadzor) for the Republic of Tatarstan Ilkham Sabirov, Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the briefing.
