Today regular competitions of the IX All-Russian Open Field Olympiad of Young Geologists took place in Kazan at Lake Izumrudnoye. This time teams showed their mastership in heavy mineral concentrate sampling. Under the terms of competitions participants had to find small copper fractions in 3 liters of special sand within 20 minutes. According to the judge from Kazakhstan Konstantin Dissel, it is one of the most inexpensive, but very efficient types of work. Teams’ performance is marked very high. The winner will be announced during the closing ceremony of the IX All-Russian Open Field Olympiad of Young Geologists that will be held on August 9 at 11.00 at the premises of children recreation camps “Solnechny” and “Zarechye”.
Today the IX All-Russian open field Olympiad of young geologists opened in Kazan at the premises of the “Solnechny” and “Zarechye” children recreation camps.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, Valery Pak, the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and Head of the Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency, Victor Orlov, the President of the Russian Geological Society, Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the opening ceremony.
Today Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, met with Valery Pak, the Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Subsoil Management. The meeting took place in the House of the Government of the republic. Andrey Morozov, the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Management, Victor Orlov, the President of the Russian Geological Society, Ravil Mutygullin, the Head of the Department on Subsurface Use in the Republic of Tatarstan, and Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the meeting.
The “SMART City Kazan” platform will be considered a pilot project for realization of eco-construction principles in the Republic of Tatarstan. The new city will make it possible to develop educational, scientific and research, and business activity, to unite all the achievements in territory planning and “green standards” application.
Today, inspectorsoftheCentralTerritorialDepartmentundertheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstanconductedaraidtothesitesofseparate waste collection. Today, there are 27 equipped points in Kazan. Suchwastecollectionsystemwillallowtousecardboard, glassware,polyethylene as recoverable resources, which will significantly reduce the extent of waste without increasing its impact on the environment.
An offsite meeting of the Board of Directors ofОАО “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” took place today in Kazan. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the meeting. Theresults of the work of oil, gas and petrochemical complex of Tatarstanwere summarized for the first half of 2013, and the activity of the group of companies “Nefis” was viewed in detail.
