Today, a large-scale campaign on cleaning of mass leisure sites “I am for clean beach” took place in 17 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The All-Russian Ecological Campaign is held in the framework of the federal Projectof the “United Russia” party. The territory adjacent to Blue Lake near Scherbakovo village of Aviastroitelny district of Kazan was cleaned up byeffortsofproponentsofthe Tatar Regional Departmentofthe Russian Geographical Society, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as volunteers and proponents of ecological movement. According to divers, the lake bottom is clean. Participants of the campaign collected about 20 bags of wastefrom the shores. Ingeneral, itiswasteleftbycampers. Moreover, plantsofpineswereplantedtodaynearBlueLake, and wooden platforms were repaired.

This event is aimed at improvement of ecological state of Russian cities and regions. Itisassumedthatmorethan 10 millionpeopleallaroundthecountrywillparticipateinthecampaign, including representatives of public organizations and movements, large, small and medium business involved with the problems of nature pollution.

ThisprocedurewasintroducedbytheorderoftheGovernmentoftheRussianFederationasof 24.09.2012 underNo. 966 “On elaboration and expansion of the annual state report on condition and protection of the environment”. This is the first time this procedure is carried out with regard to the draft of the annual state report.

The All-Russian photo competition “Me — My house — My country” will take place in October 2013. It is one of the contests held in the framework of the campaign “Ecology of Nature is Ecology of a Family” aimed at development of ecological culture through positive and negative images of the environment in Russian families. Anyone who feels like it can participate in the competition.

Today the briefing devoted to the results of the IX All-Russian Open Field Olympiad of Young Geologists took place in the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan. Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Mutygullin, the Head of the Subsurface Management Department for the Republic of Tatarstan, and Marat Magdeev, the Deputy Chief of the Geological Prospecting Department of the Tatneft JSC on ecology and hydrogeology and Chairman of the Tatarstan Regional Department of the public organization “Russian Geological Society”, took part in the briefing.
