Due to the large number of applications for participation in the contest, as well as taking into account the importance of introduction of the “green” economy and the development of ecological culture, it was decided to extend the deadlines for accepting applications and their consideration. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation supports a project aimed at assisting the start-ups of Russian enterprises in the field of energy efficiency, the development of small renewable and alternative energy, as well as the modernization of heating systems with the improvement of their “green” characteristics. The jury of the contest is headed by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergey Ivanov.

The water quality and the state of the coastal strip of the Kazanka River were examined by the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The environmentalists paid special attention to the observance of environmental requirements in the water protection zone, since during the summer period there are frequent cases of violations of art. 8.42 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation:

The Russian Geographical Society has announced a contest whose winners will receive youth Internship scholarships in 2017. Applicants for a scholarship of 100,000 RUR can be students, graduate students, doctoral students of higher education institutions and special education institutions, scientists, public figures below 35 y.o.
The contest is held in two categories:

To examine the sanitary condition of the Mesha river banks and to study a new tourist route. With this purpose more than one hundred representatives of nature protection agencies gathered in Pestrechinsky district on the river bank. In Tatarstan, ECO-rafting-2017 was timed to the equator of the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The total length of the route is 15 km. “Ecological rafting is becoming a good tradition, – said Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan. “Last year it was devoted to the Year of Water Protection Zones, in this – to the Year of Ecology.

The IV International Geological Forum “Geological Exploration 2017” will be held on October 25, 2017 in Moscow. The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, the State Commission on Mineral Reserves, heads of exploration and service enterprises, and top management of extractive companies.

The organizers of the international contest “Ecotradition” complied a “Green rating”. To make it, experts calculated the coefficient of environmental activity of the population, based on the data of search queries in Yandex. According to the results of the study, the Republic of Tatarstan showed a high level of eco-activity of the population and entered the top-5 list. Leading positions in the “Green rating” are also occupied by Tyumen, Kemerovo, Leningrad and Samara regions.

A number of enterprises located in Kazan and the Rybno-Slobodsky District have reconstructed treatment facilities after the relevant environmental regulations. In early 2017, the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan identified a discharge of pollutants in the sewage into the terrain and the reservoir in the territory of these organizations.

This legislative initiative, aimed at stiffening the fight against poachers and minimizing damage to wildlife objects, was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and supported by the President of the Russian Federation. According to the draft law prepared by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the production and public hunting inspectors will have the authority to inspect the fulfillment of requirements in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources.

Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, familiarized with the progress of clearing and channeling of the river Bryssa near the village of Egorievo, Laishev district. The bank protection works were carried out with the purpose of protecting the settlement from flooding. “During the spring flood villages of Yegoryevo and Kaipa were annually flooded. There are 80 houses in the risk zone. In this regard, residents of settlements applied to the Ministry of Ecology for assistance, so this site was in priority,” –Farid Abdulganiev said.

Fest for young environmentalists was organised in the children’s camps “Winged” and “Sunny” of Naberezhnye Chelny. A cognitive event for children was conducted by specialists from the Prikamsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. They told the children about the diversity of plants and animals of the republic, the peculiarities of natural resources of the native land, the significance and role of nature in human life.
