Applications for youth scholarships from Russian Geographical Societystarted
The Russian Geographical Society has announced a contest whose winners will receive youth Internship scholarships in 2017. Applicants for a scholarship of 100,000 RUR can be students, graduate students, doctoral students of higher education institutions and special education institutions, scientists, public figures below 35 y.o.
The contest is held in two categories:
1) “For achievements in scientific and educational activities in the field of geography and related sciences”.
Within the framework of this nomination, the jury members will evaluate the number and quality of scientific publications entered the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, the Scopus and WoS databases indexed by the Russian Scientific Citation Index. Participation of applicants in scientific and educational programs, seminars, conferences, awards and victories in competitions and olympiads are welcomed. When submitting an application for this nomination, the testimonial letter of a scientist, scientific or pedagogical council of an educational organization, or a testimony from a USSR or Russian State Prize laureate, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Executive or the Academic Council of the Society should be attached.
2) “For achievements in public activities that meet the goals and objectives of the Russian Geographical Society”.
One of the evaluation criteria in this category will be the number of organized scientific or educational programs, festivals, conferences, seminars, contests and olympiads of various levels as a project manager or one of the performers. Participation in the events of the Russian Geographical Society, recommendatory and gratitude letters from the RGS managers are welcomed.
