For the fourth time, the Goethe-Institute announced a contest among schoolchildren “School for Ecology: think, explore, act!”, aiming to draw the attention of schoolchildren to environmental problems. Teams of students from the 7th to 11th grades, as well as their German teachers and subject teachers (biology, ecology, geography, chemistry, physics) are invited to participate. Together with the teachers, schoolchildren should explore the ecological situation in their city (village), on their street, in their school and offer ideas aimed at improving the environmental situation and attracting the public attention to it. Environmental projects must be uploaded to the contest website before November 1, 2017.

The regulation of the water level in the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs ensured favourable spawning. In 2017 specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out work on the development of aquatic biological resources and water management activities in the Republic of Tatarstan. Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic, said:

A large-scale environmental action took place on the Kama River banks in Naberezhnye Chelny. The residents of Autograd joined the action “Clean bank”, conducted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The environmental movement “No.More.Litter.Naberezhnye Chelny” with the support of the Prikamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology cleaned the banks, collecting the garbage separately.

They told the kids what natural resources are available on the territory of the republic, their peculiarities and why it is so important to preserve them. Environmentalists noted that the environment protection depends only on the actions of a person, regardless of its age.
