For the first time, production and public hunting inspectors can independently draw up reports on administrative violations

This legislative initiative, aimed at stiffening the fight against poachers and minimizing damage to wildlife objects, was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and supported by the President of the Russian Federation. According to the draft law prepared by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the production and public hunting inspectors will have the authority to inspect the fulfillment of requirements in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources. It includes compliance with the rules and regulations of hunting, established in accordance with the Russian legislation, standards in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources, as well as presence of a hunting ticket, permit, permit for hunting resources and permit to store and bear hunting fire and (or) pneumatic weapons.
In addition, the inspectors have the right to report on the upcoming or committed offense or crime related to the violation of Russian legislation in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources, to the relevant state supervision bodies or bodies of internal affairs, and to send the necessary materials to these authorities. Production and hunting inspectors will also have the authority to apply to the state authorities of the RF, state authorities of the subjects of the RF, local government bodies, officials and organizations to provide timely, complete, reliable information required for the implementation of public hunting management. For illegal actions or inaction, production hunting inspectors, public hunting inspectors shall bear responsibility established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
