Applications for contest “Clean Energy for Territory Development” extended until July 30

Due to the large number of applications for participation in the contest, as well as taking into account the importance of introduction of the “green” economy and the development of ecological culture, it was decided to extend the deadlines for accepting applications and their consideration. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation supports a project aimed at assisting the start-ups of Russian enterprises in the field of energy efficiency, the development of small renewable and alternative energy, as well as the modernization of heating systems with the improvement of their “green” characteristics. The jury of the contest is headed by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergey Ivanov.
The contest is aimed at reducing the environmental and financial burden from small generation sources (using fossil fuels) for the regions of the Far North and other sparsely populated regions of Russia. In addition, the objectives of the contest include supporting projects in the field of energy efficiency, the development of small renewable and alternative energy, as well as supporting projects for the modernization of buildings, electricity and heat supply systems, water supply and sanitation with the improvement of the ecological characteristics of the respective territory.
The participants in the contest can be Russian enterprises and organizations of any form of ownership. The term of implementation (from the moment of the beginning of the investment to the commissioning of the facility or the introduction of development in the real sector) should be up to 3 years. When evaluating projects, the relevancy and feasibility of the proposed technical solutions will be taken into account, the advantages of the project in comparison with analogues. Particular attention will be paid to ability of replicating the results.
Winners will receive grants from the “Russian Capital” bank for the project documentation preparation: for the first place – 3 million RUR, for the second – 2 million RUR, for the third place – 1 million RUR. As a result of the competition, the possibility of further financing of the best projects will be considered.
The organizers of the competition are the All-Russian public organization “Russian Geographical Society” and JSCB “RUSSIAN CAPITAL”", the contest operator is the technological platform “Technology of Environmental Development”.
