Tatarstan was included in the top-5 of “Green rating” of public environmental activity

The organizers of the international contest “Ecotradition” complied a “Green rating”. To make it, experts calculated the coefficient of environmental activity of the population, based on the data of search queries in Yandex. According to the results of the study, the Republic of Tatarstan showed a high level of eco-activity of the population and entered the top-5 list. Leading positions in the “Green rating” are also occupied by Tyumen, Kemerovo, Leningrad and Samara regions. According to the author of the project “Ecotradition” Olga Lavlinskaya, before the launch of the contest in 2015 there was zero interest to the topic of ecological traditions. However, from the moment of the start of the competition in February 9, 2016 the growing interest of the population towards ecological traditions is seen. The “Green rating” of the region is raised through the initiatives of people and widespread ecotraditions. The level of high environmental activity of the population reflects the coordinated actions of the authorities, the media, and society.
