A number of enterprises located in Kazan and the Rybno-Slobodsky District have reconstructed treatment facilities after the relevant environmental regulations. In early 2017, the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan identified a discharge of pollutants in the sewage into the terrain and the reservoir in the territory of these organizations. Based on the results of water sampling, excesses of a number of components were detected: ammonium ion, nitrite ion, phosphate ion. This fact is a violation of environmental legislation under Art. 8.13 part 4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation: “Violation of the requirements for the protection of water bodies, which may entail their pollution, blockage and (or) depletion, except as provided for in Article 8.45 of the Code.” In order to eliminate this violation, the inspectors of the CTA ordered to install new treatment facilities at the enterprises. At present, the quality of sewage discharged from the territory of organizations corresponds to the maximum permissible concentrations.
