Every year on March 22, World Water Day, or the Water resources Day, is marked. This day is aimed at attracting public attention to the state of water bodies and the problems associated with their restoration and protection. The idea of ​​holding an ecological holiday was first voiced at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED)in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro.

Today, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan RustemKamalov took part in the VIII International Forum “Ecology”. The event was held in Moscow in the congress park of the Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow. The forum was held within the framework of the project of the party “United Russia”“St. Petersburg – the sea capital of Russia”.

Annually, since 1971, the International Day of Forests is marked on March 21. It is also called the World Forest Day.
