Today, Tatarstan joined the All-Russian ecological cleanup "Green Russia". A mass event in the republic was held in the territory of the protected area "Blue Lakes". "Saturday cleanups is a long tradition, but in Tatarstan they have a special character, - said the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. - This year, in the framework of the sanitary and environmental bimonth campaign over 1 million residents of the republic joined to cleanup. Tatarstanis are accustomed to living in cleanliness. Therefore, we see active involvement," the Minister said. The event was attended by the heads and staff of more than 15 organizations: the Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources of RT, interdistrict environmental prosecutor's office, the Kazan interdistrict environmental prosecutor's office, Rosprirodnadzor in RT, Rospotrebnadzor in RT, Rosselkhoznadzor in RT, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, members of the Russian geographical society in RT, the environmental movement BUDETCHISTO, "People's front", "Young Guard", and others. "A unique case. It is only in Tatarstan, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, all environmental authorities are working", - concluded Farid Abdulganiev.
Today, in Tatarstan a project on improvement of water springs was launched, under which in the cities and regions the sources will be cleared of debris and dead wood, decks will be repaired, and territory will be improved. Representatives of state structures and activists of public associations will take part in large-scale environmental protection measures.
