World Wildlife Fund WWF Russia announced the start of the contest for the title of the capital of the campaign“Earth Hour”. The city whose residents will most actively participate in the campaign will receive a reward – a statuette engraved with its name and the status of “Capital of the Earth Hour – 2018”. In addition, representatives of the administration of the winning city will be invited to the central site of the campaign in Moscow next year.

The Russian Geographical Society has announced a competition for participation in the ecological expedition “Gogland-2017”. The project participants can be young people from 18 to 35 y.o. In two shifts the volunteers of the expedition will clean up the islands of Gogland and Bolshoi Tyuters from litter. The first shift of the expedition will take place from June 1 to June 15,

On April 13, in Sochi, within the framework of the III All-Russian Labour Protection Week, a seminar will be held dedicated to the preparation for the introduction in Russia of an obligatory reporting system for organizations on greenhouse gas emissions.
