Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic and the Investigative Committee were united in the work to identify and suppress corruption facts. Earlier this year, according to environmentalists, police detained a group of individuals who were suspected of illegal mining of minerals. Sand was mined without permits - preliminary damage amounted to more than 11 million rubles. Operative-search activities of police officers and the Ministry of Ecology made it possible to establish that the group included a former employee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, who was warning the suspects of forthcoming inspections by state bodies. He repeatedly transferred money to one of the employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the republic, who, in turn, reported on possible inspections.
According to the facts, the investigative authorities opened a criminal case against the suspects on the basis of the crimes as provided in part 4. Art. 158 ("Theft"), Article 246 ("Violation of the rules of environmental protection in the production of work"), Part 4 st.291 ("Bribery") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
A criminal case has also been instituted against a former employee of the agency on the grounds of crimes provided for in part 4 of article 158 ("Theft"), part 3 of article 291.1 ("Mediation in bribery") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In addition, in the actions of an employee of the Ministry of Ecology of RT, signs of crimes provided for in paragraph 5 of Article 33, pp. Part 4, Article 158 ("Theft"), Part 5 of Art. 290 ("Taking bribes") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were found.
