Within the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces a pedagogical seminar "Modern Education: New Requirements, New Opportunities, New Responsibility" was held. Environmentalists told educators about the nature protection activities that Menzelinsk schoolchildren can take part in. Leading specialist of the Prikamsky territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Muzafarov noted that from September 1 in Tatarstan a new stage of the republican contest "School Eco-Patrol" will start. To participate, you need to install a mobile application "School Eco Patrol" on your phone, with which you can send a photo or video message about the location of an illegal dump to the inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan. Schoolchildren receive points for active and prompt work. At the end of the year, those who scored the most points are awarded with valuable prizes and gifts. Specialist of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan noted that the competition is one of the methods of ecological education. The formation of ecological culture of teenagers is also positively influenced by excursions to nature, ecological Olympiads, interactive games and nature protection actions.
