Illegal quarry of 78 m2 was discovered by inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan near the village of Chepchugi, Vysokogorsky district. Here diggers unlicensedly extracted sand to the depth up to 6.2 meters.

The regulation of the water level in the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs ensured favourable spawning. In 2017 specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out work on the development of aquatic biological resources and water management activities in the Republic of Tatarstan. Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic, said:

A large-scale environmental action took place on the Kama River banks in Naberezhnye Chelny. The residents of Autograd joined the action “Clean bank”, conducted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The environmental movement “No.More.Litter.Naberezhnye Chelny” with the support of the Prikamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology cleaned the banks, collecting the garbage separately.

An ecological lesson was held in the children’s health camp “Rosinka”. The educational event for children was organised by the specialists of the Prikamsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. They told the kids what natural resources are available on the territory of the republic, their peculiarities and why it is so important to preserve them. Environmentalists noted that the environment protection depends only on the actions of a person, regardless of its age.

Since 2019, all major companies being the main polluters in the country – about 300 – should start implementing their technology modernization projects, transition to BAT, said the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia Sergei Donskoy. “Modernization is impossible without the implementation of environmental projects, it is interrelated.

A number of complaints came to the Zavolzhsky territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan about the spread of a specific odour in Buinsk. Specialists of the Inspection of Analytical Control of the Ministry of Ecology took samples of atmospheric air for analyses. As the administrative investigation revealed, the smell came from the north-western part of Buinsk.

Tatarstan students, undergraduates, graduate students, young scientists, environmental experts and representatives of non-profit environmental organizations can take part in the Eighth Youth Ecological Congress “Northern Palmyra”. The event will be held on November 22-24, 2017 in the St. Petersburg Research Center for Environmental Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Within the framework of the Ecological Congress, the following issues will be discussed:

Applications for participation in the photo contest “Wild Nature of Russia 2017”, organized by the Limited Liability Company Moskoutayms, started. The event is aimed at supporting and developing the creative skills of participants and the formation of citizens' interest in studying the geography of Russia. Residents of Russia aged 18+ may participate. A separate "Young Talents" nomination is organized for underage participants.

Until July 30, applications for participation in the contest “Clean Energy to Develop Territories” are accepted. The organizers are the Russian Geographical Society and the Russian Capital Bank. The event is aimed at assisting the beginnings of Russian enterprises in the field of energy efficiency, the development of small renewable and alternative energy plants, and the modernization of heating systems with the improvement of their ecological characteristics.
The participants of the contest can be Russian enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership.
