To make it, experts calculated the coefficient of environmental activity of the population, based on the data of search queries in Yandex. According to the results of the study, the Republic of Tatarstan showed a high level of eco-activity of the population and entered the top-5 list. Leading positions in the “Green rating” are also occupied by Tyumen, Kemerovo, Leningrad and Samara regions.

A number of enterprises located in Kazan and the Rybno-Slobodsky District have reconstructed treatment facilities after the relevant environmental regulations. In early 2017, the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan identified a discharge of pollutants in the sewage into the terrain and the reservoir in the territory of these organizations.

This legislative initiative, aimed at stiffening the fight against poachers and minimizing damage to wildlife objects, was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and supported by the President of the Russian Federation. According to the draft law prepared by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the production and public hunting inspectors will have the authority to inspect the fulfillment of requirements in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources.

Fest for young environmentalists was organised in the children’s camps “Winged” and “Sunny” of Naberezhnye Chelny. A cognitive event for children was conducted by specialists from the Prikamsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. They told the children about the diversity of plants and animals of the republic, the peculiarities of natural resources of the native land, the significance and role of nature in human life.

For the fourth time, the Goethe-Institute announced a contest among schoolchildren “School for Ecology: think, explore, act!”, aiming to draw the attention of schoolchildren to environmental problems. Teams of students from the 7th to 11th grades, as well as their German teachers and subject teachers (biology, ecology, geography, chemistry, physics) are invited to participate. Together with the teachers, schoolchildren should explore the ecological situation in their city (village), on their street, in their school and offer ideas aimed at improving the environmental situation and attracting the public attention to it. Environmental projects must be uploaded to the contest website before November 1, 2017.
