Until July 15, works are accepted for participation in the youth ecological congress “Northern Palmyra”

Tatarstan students, undergraduates, graduate students, young scientists, environmental experts and representatives of non-profit environmental organizations can take part in the Eighth Youth Ecological Congress “Northern Palmyra”. The event will be held on November 22-24, 2017 in the St. Petersburg Research Center for Environmental Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Within the framework of the Ecological Congress, the following issues will be discussed:
- Assessment of the state and rational use of soil resources (anthropogenic change of soils and assessment of their ecological state);
- State of aquatic ecosystems: problems and ways to solve them in the regions (water quality and coastal zone in the regions);
- Air pollution problems. The impact of vehicles on the atmosphere state of (control and preservation of air quality);
- Environmental monitoring and quality control of the environment (methods for conducting environmental monitoring and their results, comparing the effectiveness of various methods);
- State of the introduction of optimal schemes for handling solid waste in settlements (impact of solid waste on the environment of cities and settlements, accumulation of waste in landfills and dumps);
- Urban ecology, territorial and landscape planning (issues of territorial organization of urban settlements, their zoning, environmental problems of existing urban development projects);
- Environmental education and awareness. Public environmental movements (environmental education, enlightenment, education and formation of environmental culture of people);
- Environmental management and indicators of sustainable development. Problems of environmental law (theory and practice of environmental management in nature management and in various sectors of the economy)
