A large-scale environmental action took place on the Kama River banks in Naberezhnye Chelny. The residents of Autograd joined the action “Clean bank”, conducted by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The environmental movement “No.More.Litter.Naberezhnye Chelny” with the support of the Prikamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology cleaned the banks, collecting the garbage separately. Of the 30 bags, almost half is recyclable waste. Plastic and glass will be recycled. “Every year the environmental action is gaining an increasing scale. In all municipalities without exception, these days cleaning of water protection zones and coastal strips is performed. Tatarstan is a high-watered region, we have more than 36,000 water bodies. Water is a resource for industry, energy, agriculture, transport, which serves the activities of all sectors of the economy. This is important for the republic, which is now developing so dynamically. We have a huge wealth that should be kept and protected,” Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, stressed.
The action on garbage collection from coastal territories started in Tatarstan on July 1. Representatives of municipal authorities, local self-government bodies, activists of voluntary and public organizations, student and school collectives, employees of various structures and departments and just not indifferent people take part in it. The event is held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the aim of establishing and maintaining a sanitary order on the banks of water bodies, development of public activity and careful attitude of citizens to nature in all municipal formations of Tatarstan.
