Almaz Tugushev, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at a briefing on spring flood preparedness in the Republic of Tatarstan about the Ministry's participation in the activities of the Interdepartmental Working Group (IWG) on regulating the operation of reservoirs in the Volga-Kama Cascade (VCC).

At a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group, held via video conference, the operating modes of the Volga-Kama cascade hydroelectric power plants for the period from March 11 to April 10 were agreed. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, participated in the discussion from the Republic of Tatarstan.

The discussion was attended by representatives of the Nizhnevolzhsky and Kama basin administrations of Rosvodresursy, the subjects of the Russian Federation — the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Tatarstan, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Astrakhan regions, as well as representatives of JSC SO UES and PJSC RusHydro. Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the meeting on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan.
