Contest of Creative Projects “Family Eco-Decor”

The contest “Family Eco-Decor” is held within the framework of the campaign “Nature Ecology is Family Ecology”. Promoting of decoration of a family life with items made from natural materials and improvement of the living territory by means of landscaping is one of the main objectives of the contest. Aims of the contest are as follows:

• creation of pollution-free environment of the house;

  activization of creative activity of family members for usage of materials intended for recycling in landscape decoration;

• development of mutual respect between family members and care for health of the family;

• development of skills and abilities in different types of national arts and crafts.

 

 Within the framework of the contest the following events are planned to be carried out:

• a round table “Ecology of Our Home”;

• an exhibition of creative projects “Workshop of Metamorphoses”;

• family projects “Landscape Arts”;

• a fair “Closer to the Nature”;

• a fashion-show “Eco-Fashion – 2013”;

• a master-class “A Waldorf Toy in Family Pedagogics”;

 

Winners of the contest will be chosen in each of the following nominations:

-  “Eco-Fashion – 2013” (clothes, jewelry, accessories from natural fabrics and materials; collections of fantasy suits and stylish things made from raw materials intended for utilization);

-  “Beyond the Vanity” (“Hand-made Cosmetics”, “Soap Making”, “Candles Making”, “A Grandmother's Treat”);

-  “Let’s Decorate our House Ourselves” (pictures, garlands, wreaths, aquariums, installations, candlesticks, rugs);

-  “Flower Arranging of the XXI Century” (compositions from fresh flowers, fruit, vegetables and other natural materials; styled flower arranging from the used plastic);

-  “Toys by Nature” (toys from natural materials and fabrics);

-  “Rural Chic” (items made from salty dough, clay, straw, vines, self-woven and knitted things);

-  “New Life of Old Things” (restored vintage household items: furniture, mirrors, lamps, items made from production waste);

- “Native Street” (eco-projects “Landscape Arts”).

 

To take part in the contest one should send an application form and items of family creativity related to environment and nature protection, photo- and video-lessons or presentations by e-mail on or prior to 20.09.2013.

The best works will be presented at the exhibition of the All-Russian environmental forum.
