“I am For Clean Beach”

OnAugust23,alarge-scalecampaign “IamForCleanBeach”envisaging cleaning of mass leisure sites will take place in 17 regions of the country. Thecampaignisaimedatfosteringofecologicalawarenessinyoungpeople, careful attitude to monitoring of territories in order to find popular leisure and swimming sites that need further beautification by means of awarding to them the official status of a “beach”or a “recreation site”.

Thefirstbenchmark of the campaign took place this year on June 2 on the International Day for Purification of Water bodies. Morethan 60 proponentsoftheUnitedRussia (Edinaya Rossiya) party and public organization the Young Guard of the United Russiacame to clean the territory of Kazan beach“Nizhnee Zarechye” and coastal territory of the lake in Derbyshki settlement. Thecampaignwasheldin cooperationwith divers, and the members of the Underwater Sports Federationof the Republic of Tatarstan.

It is planned to clean all the beaches and all recreational sites of Kazan from rubbish during the second benchmark of the campaign.
