Within the framework of the Day of Ecological Consciousness, ecological lessons will be given to pupils of the 5th-8th forms from April 15 to April 18, 2013 in Aznakayevo, Aktanysh, Muslyumovo, and Sarmanovo municipal regions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will take active part in the campaign.

Live Broadcasting on the Radio of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Tatarstan”

Today Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the program “Panorama of Events “New Day” on the radio of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Tatarstan”. Implementation of programs within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection, preparation and carrying out of “Plant a Tree”, “March of Parks”, “From Father to Son”, “Cleanliness Lessons”, “Grackles Have Come…” campaigns as well as preparation for a sanitarian and ecological two-month campaign were discussed in the course of the program. Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, also answered radio listeners’ questions.

Garbage in the Birchwood

3 unauthorized waste dumps were found by inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in the territory of the Birchwood of Privolzhsk area. The raid was organized in the result of a public complaint got by the hot line of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan: 267-68-87. Administrative investigation is being carried based on the materials found (documents, checks, agreements).

A meeting with the representatives of the General Electric (GE) company.

A meeting with the representatives of the GE company was held on April, 9 in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“The Republic of Tatarstan is a dynamically developing region of Russia, and GE is ready to provide the region with modern wastewater purification technologies. Integrated membrane systems allow to reduce the amount of discarded drainage on the account of secondary water use, as well as to transfer to practically zero-discharge water system by means of reutilization in water rotation systems,” said Director for GE business development in Volga Federal District, Denis Peregudov.

A meeting with representatives of the Ros Roca Group/INDOX

The options of cooperation in the line of sorting and collection of household waste, use of gas-engine oil for the purposes of fueling of public transportation, trucks and agricultural equipment were discussed today during the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the company Ros Roca Group/INDOX (Spain). In particular, the project on implementation of pneumatic transport systems for collection and removal of household waste was discussed.

This campaign takes place with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and UNIDO (the United Nations Industrial Development organization).

Water Samples

Water samples were taken from Lake Kaban in Kazan. Experts of the Central Specialized Inspectorate of Analytical Monitoring will test water samples according to 16 criteria. The content of the following substances will be checked: sulfates, nitrites, nitrates, formaldehydes, oil products, manganese, iron, chrome, etc. Results will be known within 5-7 days. Ecologists estimate the damage caused to the nature.
According to experts, the fauna is recovered; fish wholesale deaths are not recorded.

Lake Kaban Pollution

The day before the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan got information on the lake pollution in Tekhnicheskaya Street. The on-site survey confirmed the fact of water pollution and fish kill. The Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant has an output into a recirculated line out of where a liquid of white and green color of an unknown origin leaked away.
