The All-Russian Competition “Protect the Ozone Layer and the Earth Climate”

Within the framework of the Year of the Environment, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation carries out the all-Russian competition “Protect the Ozone Layer and the Earth Climate”. This campaign takes place with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and UNIDO (the United Nations Industrial Development organization).
Pupils of secondary general education schools, pupils of educational institutions of secondary and higher education of all regions of Russia are invited to take part in the competition.
Depending on the participants’ age the nominations are as follows:
• “Drawings” — among pupils of the 1st -4th forms;
• “Posters” — among pupils of the 5th -7th  forms;
• “Social and Ecological Projects” — among pupils starting of the 5th forms to students of higher education institutions;
• “Abstracts”, “Educational and Research and Scientific Projects”, “Social Video Adverts” – among pupils starting of the 8th forms to students of higher education institutions;
• “Methodical Plans” – among pupils of educational institutions of secondary professional education and students of higher education institutions.
Competition is carried out in 3 stages:
• regional – from March 15 to April 30, 2013 (only school students take part in the competition, subjects of the Russian Federation carry out the competition and select 20 best projects in each nomination);
• federal – from May 11 to June 25, 2013, all nominations and age categories;
• final – from September 14 to September 16, 2013 (winners of the federal stage present their projects to the jury of the competition).
Award ceremony will take place on September 16, 2013, on the International Day of the Ozone Layer Protection.
