Preservation of water resources, construction and modernization of treatment facilities, application of new technologies in waste disposal, restoration of forest areas. These and other topics are discussed today in Kazan by the professional ecologists of the country. The meeting of the Federal Ecological Council was held in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was conducted by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy.

Game “Ecoculture was for the first time the presented in Tatarstan today. The game is aimed at increasing environmental awareness among people and contributing to a careful attitude to the environment. The new project was presented by the deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor Ramil Nizamov. “This format will help to awaken the non-standard and creative potential of students, activate their intellectual and creative abilities and cognitive interest in issues of ecology, local lore and environmental protection,” said Ramil Nizamov.

Today in Nizhnekamsk, at the refinery PSC “TAIF-NK”, a solemn event dedicated to the launch, after a large-scale reconstruction, of the facility for the local treatment of industrial wastewater was held. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, this is the second significant event for Nizhnekamsk in the Year of Ecology. He recalled the recently arranged urban sewage treatment plants, which had many complaints.

Specialists of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitor the state of water quality in the wastewater discharge points of JSC “Tetyushi – Vodokanal”. During regular inspection numerous violations were identified. In the sewage water samples in the Ulema River, the maximum allowable concentrations were exceeded: for ammonium (23 times), nitrites (5.4 times), phosphate (14.8 times).

Environmental issues concern every inhabitant of the planet, regardless of place of residence, nationality, and religion. This was said by the participants of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Culture and Science: A New View”, held in Bogatye Saby.

The shore cleaned of rubbish, Kazan residents called to keep clean. Eco- action took place on the shoreline of Lake Sredniy Kaban. The good deeds brought together the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Center for Special Communications and Information of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in RT, and students of the school No. 114 of the Privolzhsky District of Kazan.

Convenient and eco-friendly. Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with public inspectors biked along the coastal strip of the Kazanka River. Attention of inspectors was attracted by the coastal zone of the lake near the Kirov dam. Here, environmentalists recorded an unauthorized waste discharge, which is a violation of Art. 8.2. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation: Non-compliance with environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements when handling production and consumption wastes, ozone depleting substances, or other dangerous substances.

Today, on Ecologist Day and on World Environment Day, winners of the Republican contest Eco-spring 2017 were awarded in IT-park. The hall gathered representatives of the most active kindergartens, schools, universities, enterprises, public organizations, environmental centers, and families which made a significant contribution to the environment protection. “These are people who are really indifferent, by their example they show how we all should treat our universal mother-nature, – the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin greeted the participants.

Today I want to congratulate also representatives of scientific, public, volunteer organizations and just all not indifferent people. Today, a large-scale ecological action “International Day of Reservoirs Treatment” was held on Lake Glubokoe. The event brought together about 500 volunteers. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev greeted the participants of the action: “Our task is to draw the attention of the Tatarstan people, first of all, young people to preserving our nature. We hope that by such actions we can instill love and respect for the unique natural resources of our republic,” the Minister said, and thanked those who come for their participation.
