8 June 2017, Thursday

Specialists of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitor the state of water quality in the wastewater discharge points of JSC “Tetyushi – Vodokanal”. During regular inspection numerous violations were identified. In the sewage water samples in the Ulema River, the maximum allowable concentrations were exceeded: for ammonium (23 times), nitrites (5.4 times), phosphate (14.8 times). This is a violation of Article 8.13. (“Violation of the rules for the water bodies protection”) and Article 8.42 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of a special regime for performance of economic and other activities on the coastal protective strip of a water body, water protection zone of a water body, or the regime for carrying out economic and other activities in the zone of sanitary protection of sources drinking and household water supply”).
The specialists of the Ministry of Ecology sent the order to the JSC “Tetyushi -Vodokanal” on the elimination of the causes and conditions that lead to the administrative offense.
As a result of the state inspectors order, Tetyushi-Vodokanal is carrying out a number of environmental measures aimed at improving the efficiency of biological treatment facilities: reconstruction of sewage wells, pumping and technical equipment, sealing of aerotanks (to maintain the necessary temperature in winter and improve the technological process), reconstruction of sand pits and sand traps with the installation of a drainage system, the Sewage pumping station is being renovated with the establishment of a pumping device. Reconstruction will prevent ingress of untreated sewage into water body.
