Today in Kazan, XII All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Industrial ecology and safety" named after Anatoly Shchepovsky

Today, the 12th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Industrial Ecology and Security" named after Anatoly Ivanovich Shchepovsky devoted to the memory of the first Minister of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the "Kama" Conference Hall of the Kazan Fair. The first deputy minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov addressed the participants and guests of the event with a welcoming speech. He noted that the conference, held in honor of the outstanding ecologist Anatoly Shchepovsky, has already become a good tradition. "This form of communication with representatives of the government, business, and the public allows to solve problems of ensuring environmental safety at enterprises more successfully. Conferences held in recent years contributed to the cooperation of industry and science specialists in solving problems in the field of rational nature management," Rustem Kamalov emphasized.

"It is very important that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan pays much attention to such public events. The experience used in Tatarstan should be adopted by other regions of Russia," said Vladimir Gerasimov, head of the regional communications department of one of the Russian oil companies. He highly appreciated the role of this event and noted that it is at the conference where various companies can tell about the activities they are carrying out on the territory of the region. Thus they will be able to convey the real situation with the environment to a wide range of people.

The main topics for discussion at the XII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Industrial Ecology and Security" were issues of environmental technology, environmental monitoring, state regulation in the field of environmental protection, production and consumption wastes, and chemical and analytical control in the field of environmental protection. Representatives of the largest industrial enterprises of the republic, scientific ecological community, guests from the regions of the Russian Federation presented scientific reports today. The authors of the best reports were awarded with commemorative medals of A.I. Shchepovsky.
