Tatarstan, Samara Region, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. Three regions were the most active participants in campaign “interactive map of landfills”. Most of the violations were eliminated.
“From the beginning of the year, about 100 thousand citizens participated in the clean-ups and, probably, if we tried to register this result, for example, in the Guinness Book of Records, then surely such a result would have entered since there are no analogues to such a project,” said the coordinator of the General Cleaning project Dmitry Mironov. “In general, the use of information technologies in the fight against unauthorized landfills was not new for Tatarstan,” said Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT. – GIS “People's control” is actively used in the republic, for schoolchildren the mobile application “School Eco Patrol” has been developed and is actively used.
