The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He noted: "Tatarstan is the most watered entity of the Volga Federal District. It takes a lot of effort to preserve the most valuable resource - water." The Minister stressed that the issues of ecology and environmental protection require a systematic approach and joint efforts. "Tatarstan was one of the first regions to join the formation of a federal project to improve the Volga. Here the pilot group worked, which formed data for the implementation of a new ambitious project.
From November 30 to December 1, 2017 the VIII specialized exhibition and congress " Clean water. Kazan " will be held in the exhibition center Kazanskaya Yarmarka. This event is organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal State Budgetary Water Management Agency "Sredvolgavodkhoz", and the OJSC "Kazanskaya Yarmarka".

The results of environmental action "Give a second life to paper", which was held in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan, were summed up in Nizhnekamsk. The experts of the Zakamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources appreciated the significant contribution of the participants of the campaign to the preservation of natural resources. They noted that having collected a large amount of waste paper, schoolchildren saved more than 1200 trees.
On December 19-20, 2017, the All-Russian Conference "Hydrometeorology and Ecology: Scientific and Educational Achievements and Development Prospects" will be held in St. Petersburg. The event is timed to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Honored Scientist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Lev Karlin.

Give things a second life for the benefit of society. With this purpose a charity event "Good Heart" was held in Naberezhnye Chelny. Collecting things for low-income families together with the Prikamsky territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny was organized by activists of the environmental movement "Musora.Bolshe.Net.Naberezhnye Chelny." More than 500 people from 15 educational institutions of the city participated in the action. In total, about 8 cubic meters of clothes and children's toys were collected during the week. As participants of the action noted: "Clothes that you do not need can help someone to warm up."

Environmentalists recorded a liquid waste at the landfill near the village of Tyulyachi during a helicopter flight. Instead of cleaning and neutralizing, sewage from cesspools of citizens was exported and dumped directly on the soil. In the selected samples of sewage, the specialists of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan detected a multiple excess of chemical indices: BOD5 by 299 times, ammonia-ion by 204 times, iron by 6.8 times, sulphates by 1.6 times. Soil samples from contaminated sites (a total area of 30 square meters) were sent to the Central Inspection for Analytical Control to assess damage.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan accepts reports from small and medium-sized businesses on the formation, use, neutralization and disposal of waste. Reporting is necessary for a clear understanding: what kinds of waste and in what quantities are formed, to which specialized organizations these wastes are transferred in accordance with the concluded contracts. This is necessary to reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment, the amount of waste generated and the amount of waste disposed of at the dedicated sites. Also, work will help to prevent unauthorized waste disposal.
