29 November 2017, Wednesday

More than 123 tons of waste paper, 30 educational institutions. The results of environmental action "Give a second life to paper", which was held in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan, were summed up in Nizhnekamsk. The experts of the Zakamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources appreciated the significant contribution of the participants of the campaign to the preservation of natural resources. They noted that having collected a large amount of waste paper, schoolchildren saved more than 1200 trees. "And this makes up a whole forest that serves as an air purifier, a water regulator, and is also home to wild animals," the environmentalists emphasized.

Teachers of Nizhnekamsk schoolchildren told that they have been collecting waste paper for several years. Despite the fact that the environmental campaign ended, schoolchildren already plan to actively join the collection of secondary raw materials next year.
