Issues of climate change and environmental protection to be discussed in St. Petersburg on All-Russian Conference "Hydrometeorology and Ecology: Scientific and Educational Achievements and Development Prospects"

On December 19-20, 2017, the All-Russian Conference "Hydrometeorology and Ecology: Scientific and Educational Achievements and Development Prospects" will be held in St. Petersburg. The event is timed to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Honored Scientist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Lev Karlin.
The conference will discuss the topical issues of the industry in the field of education, modern scientific achievements and prospects for their development. The key themes of the discussion areas will be fundamental and applied aspects of hydrometeorology, study of climate change, including ocean and atmosphere interaction, hydrology and water resources management, ecology and public health, improvement of forecast technical tools in hydrometeorology, economics and marine management, capacity building in the field of education on hydrometeorology. Particular attention will be paid to the development of creative activity in the research and pedagogical activity of young scientists and specialists in the fields of meteorology, hydrology, oceanology and ecology, their acquaintance with innovative achievements in Earth sciences.
