The Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, the Rosreestr Department for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of Water Resources for the Republic of Tatarstan of the Lower Volga Basin Water Management of the Federal Agency for Water Resources, organized a check on publications posted on the Internet on illegal construction works in the coastal strip and the water protection zone of the Kuibyshev Reservoir in the immediate vicinity from the Millennium Bridge in Kazan.

The Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office initiated an audit against PJSC Kazanorgsintez. This is due to a series of appeals from Kazan residents about air pollution and the Kuibyshev reservoir (Volga River). Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, the Department of Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the Volga Department of Rostechnadzor take part in the inspection. As part of the audit, the prosecutor's office will assess the company's activities for compliance with environmental legislation.

An informative eco-talk was conducted by specialists of the Northern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in the health camp "Chulpan" of the Atninsky district. Now 54 people are in it. Environmentalists told the children about the contribution that every inhabitant of the planet can make to the preservation of the environment.

The Flamingo vessel made a two-day expedition along the route Zelenodolsk – the mouth of the Sviyagi River - Kazan - the mouth of the Kazanka River - Kyzyl-Bayrak - Kama Estuary - Kuibyshev Zaton – Kazan. The main purpose of the expedition is to monitor compliance with the regime of water protection zones and coastal protective strip, analysis of releases of biological treatment facilities, sampling of natural water in the area of CUM production sites.

Today, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a round table "Environmental assessment and monitoring of Volga tourist facilities: current methods and tasks". The event was held by the non-profit environmental foundation "Without rivers as without hands". The head of the Department of Environmental Economics and Project Planning of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Galina Bochkova and the head of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Elena Zakirova took part in it.

At the end of June, in the city of Qingdao (Shandong Province, China), at the site of the Chinese Petroleum University, a ceremony was held to establish the Academic Union of "Green" Development of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China (ATURC). The union includes 10 universities from Russia and 10 universities from China. One of the ten domestic universities invited by the Chinese side to the Academic Union of "green" Development of ATURK is the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev.

During the year of joint work, the program covered 19 settlements of the republic – these are both large cities and small districts. Residents of the republic and budget organizations collected almost 100 tons of electrical scrap and sent it for processing to a specialized ecological plant in Mordovia. Electric breakage fees in the republic are held regularly. So, in May and June, the gathering took place in Kazan, Buinsk, Pestretsy and Zelenodolsk, in July in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and the Kama Estuary. In July alone, budgetary institutions and organizations handed over more than 13 tons of waste. Residents are also actively joining, for their convenience, special cars come to districts and villages.

During the monitoring of the Cheremshansky district, the inspector of the South-Eastern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan identified 5 unauthorized waste disposal sites. In the village of Ivashkino, the clutter area was 200 sq.m., the landfill volume was 200 cubic meters, in the village of Akkireevo, the total area of two landfills was 38 sq.m., the volume was 19 cubic meters. In the village of Cheremshan, the total area of identified landfills is 50 sq.m., the volume of landfills is 15 cubic meters.
