At the end of June, in the city of Qingdao (Shandong Province, China), at the site of the Chinese Petroleum University, a ceremony was held to establish the Academic Union of "Green" Development of the Association of Technical Universities of Russia and China (ATURC). The union includes 10 universities from Russia and 10 universities from China. One of the ten domestic universities invited by the Chinese side to the Academic Union of "green" Development of ATURK is the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev.
KNITU–KAI took part in such a conference for the first time. The representative of the University, the head of the Department of General Chemistry and Ecology, Professor Yulia Tunakova, made a presentation on the creation of a neural network algorithm and a hybrid neural network model for calculating the concentration of greenhouse gases. The main goal of the Green Union is to unite efforts and unlock the potential of participating universities in the field of low-carbon and sustainable development, pay closer attention to environmental protection issues, search for measures aimed at optimal use of limited resources and the use of environmentally friendly, natural, energy and material-saving technologies, as well as educational, scientific, youth and cultural cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in these areas.
