The scientific vessel of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan "Flamingo" made another expedition along the rivers of Tatarstan
The Flamingo vessel made a two-day expedition along the route Zelenodolsk – the mouth of the Sviyagi River - Kazan - the mouth of the Kazanka River - Kyzyl-Bayrak - Kama Estuary - Kuibyshev Zaton – Kazan. The main purpose of the expedition is to monitor compliance with the regime of water protection zones and coastal protective strip, analysis of releases of biological treatment facilities, sampling of natural water in the area of CUM production sites. As part of the verification of the hydrophysical state of the Volga River water area, more than 500 thousand samples were taken for such indicators as redox potential, water temperature, suspended solids and others. According to the control of the hydrochemical state of water, more than 200 thousand samples of pollutants were taken. Now environmentalists are processing and analyzing the information they received as a result of the observations.
Let us recall that the research vessel "Flamingo" ("Volga-M") is a research complex, the main purpose of which is to monitor the condition of water bodies. The vessel is equipped with equipment to solve a full range of tasks for the study of the water area. The complex of ecological and analytical control was put into operation by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in 1996, in 2007 the complex underwent the first modernization, in 2022 – the second deep modernization. On May 16, the Flamingo vessel sailed for the first time this year. During the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum 2023", the vessel patrolled the waters of the Kazanka River. The research vessel also fulfills the tasks set within the framework of the federal project "Improvement of the Volga" of the national project "Ecology".
