Unauthorized storage of snow was discovered by inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan during a raid on Ibragimov St. near one of the hypermarkets of the city. The area of illegal storage of snow masses was 500 sq.m., the volume was 600 cubic meters.

To prevent starvation of fish and saturate the reservoir with oxygen - today, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with representatives of the Srednevolzhsky TA Rosrybolovstvo, the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tatarstan, went on ice with such a mission. This is a traditional campaign. Every year ecologists together with other environmental authorities carry out aeration of reservoirs of the Republic.

The All-Russian program "Green Universities of Russia" and the Association of "green" Universities of Russia launched the second wave of the All-Russian competition of student eco-projects "My Green University". The competition is designed to find effective ways to introduce environmental practices and involve the younger generation in solving environmental problems.

To see the work of the ecological laboratory and participate in chemical research yourself. Students of Kazan State Agrarian University were presented this opportunity. Employees of the Central Department of Environmental Supervision conducted a tour of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan for future specialists. Environmentalists told how the sampling and analysis of samples of natural and wastewater, snow, atmospheric air, waste, soil and sediments takes place. The children were also introduced to physico-chemical methods of analysis, bio-testing and hydrobiological methods of research.

Currently, there are 7 snow melting points operating in Kazan. Places for temporary storage of snow were also identified.  However, only in the first days of February, almost a month's rainfall fell in Kazan. In this regard, in addition to the existing places for temporary storage of snow, additional ones have been identified at the following addresses:

During the environmental monitoring of the city of Chistopol in the territory of the gas station No. 166 of JSC "Chistopolnefteprodukt" on Ibragimov st., inspectors of the Volga-Kama TA Ministry found illegal storage of snow masses. The area of the contaminated site was 300 sq.m., the volume was 150 cubic meters.m.

In the central library of the Sabinsky district, an intellectual environmental quiz was organized especially for students.  The goal of the game is to broaden the horizons of children, and to replenish the knowledge of the surrounding world. Students of the 4th grade of MBOU "Gymnasium of Bogatye Saby small town" were divided into teams in order to show erudition and knowledge about nature, go through 4 game rounds. The guys brilliantly did all the tasks and answered additional questions from the specialists of the Northern TA. For active participation, children were presented with special ecological coloring books

From Russia, the famous Turgenev oak of the Spasskoye – Lutovinovo estate of the Oryol region will be presented at this competition. It was this nominee who became the winner of the national competition "Russian Tree of the Year - 2021". Turgenev oak was chosen by open voting from 47 applicants.
