15 February 2022, Tuesday

From March 1, the reform in the field of waste management of hazard classes I and II will start.

In order to provide information, the federal state information system for accounting and control of waste management of hazard classes I and II (FSIS OPVC) is being created. Individual entrepreneurs, legal entities, as a result of economic or other activities of which wastes of hazard classes I and II are generated and do not independently handle waste, are obliged to transfer these wastes to the federal operator in accordance with service contracts.

According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the federal state unitary enterprise "Federal Environmental Operator" (FSUE "FEO") has been defined as the federal operator for waste management of hazard classes I and II.

To inform future users about the new procedure for working with waste of hazard classes I - II, representatives of FSUE "FEO" held a final webinar.

During the event, the following issues were discussed:

- Changes in the work of waste-generating enterprises and operators for the treatment of waste of classes I and II from March 1, 2022;

 - Regulatory legal acts adopted in the field of waste management of classes I and II;

 - Registration in the Federal State Information System for Accounting and Control of Hazardous Waste Management (FSIS OPVC) and conclusion of contracts with the federal operator.
