I would like to express my cordial congratulations on the Day of Ecological Specialist!
It is not only a professional holiday of nature protection specialists, nature protectors and active ecological specialists, but it is also a big day for all those people who love and protect the motherland, care for the present and the future of our common home.
This year’s Day of ecological specialist is also special due to the fact that it is celebrated during the Year of Parks and Square Gardens of the Republic of Tatarstan thus extending the events that were held in 2013 in the framework of the All-Russian Year of Ecology and the Tatar Year of Ecological Culture and Nature Protection.
The measures that we implement are aimed at long-term perspective of formation in our Republic of comfortable live environment, assurance of ecological well-being and effective nature protection activity. Moreover, to ensure complex solution of these important tasks and considering the wealth of water resources possessed by Tatarstan, it is planned to devote the Year 2016 to water protection areas. Created public park areasThe Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the 4th Open Republican Youth Contest of Social Ecological Advertisement “Clear view”.
The contest is aimed at involvement of the population in solution of problems regarding environment protection, providing of young people with a possibility to express their attitude to this or that problem in the field of ecology. Pieces of work should feature ideas and approaches to solution of the most burning ecological problems of the Russian Federation in the field of protection of air, water and land resources, in the field of management of production and consumption waste, as well as in the matters related to ecological education of the young generation.
Citizens of the Russian Federation, young people under 35 years of age (individual authors and a team of contributors) can participate in the contest.

Today, inspectorsoftheCentralTerritorialDepartmentunder the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of Kazan Interdistrict Nature Protection Prosecutor’s Officeinspected the water area of the Kazanka river to reveal unauthorized discharges into the river and to further identify offenders and hold them administratively liable. Dischargeofwastewatersfromthe storm water drain was detected on the left shore of the Kazanka.Experts of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstandrew samples of waste waters and natural waters, following the results whereof the damage inflicted on the water facility will be estimated. Atpresent, theadministrativeproceedings have been initiated against offenders and those who allowed discharge of polluted waste waters into Kaban Lake.
TheMinisterforEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstan, ArtemSidorov, announced the results of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign held in the Republic from April 1st to May 31, 2015 in the course of the briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the course of these two months municipal formations, nature protection services of the Republic, specialized ministries and authorities, companies and organizations, as well as citizens of the Republiccarried out work aimed at sanitary and ecological cleaning.
Allinall, morethan 7,000 violations in the field of management of consumption and production waste were revealed. Inthecourseofsupervisoryevents, 1,635 illegal landfills were detected, 91% whereof, i.e. 1,486 landfills have already been liquidated.

Sports underwater hunting competitions devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory will be held on June 11 – 13thin the waters ofthe Volga River in the district of Zaymische village. Thecompetitionisaimedatinvolvementofcitizensin applied military sports, popularizationofunderwaterswimming, as well as identification of the strongest sportsmen in theRepublic of Tatarstanduring the 2015 season.
The “Medicallanding troops” campaign, organized by the Ministryof Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, was held today for fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. General physicians and medical workers checked blood pressure and gave recommendations with regard to healthy lifestyle.Moreover, the film on the causes of increased blood pressure was demonstrated, and “checkup diaries” were handed out for the purposes of regular health control.
The ceremony of awarding of winners of the Republican Contest “School Eco-patrol” was held today at the Victory Park of Kazan. Pupils of secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in it from September 1, 2014 until May 1, 2015. The contest was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Information Support and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan. Using a specially developed mobile application, pupils of educational establishments registered the information on unauthorized waste placement sites and referred it to the Ministry, and then inspectors implemented measures aimed at their liquidation. All in all, 1,166 photo messages were received regarding unauthorized waste placement sites.
On May 22, 2015, inspectors of the State Ecological Surveillance under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a raid to the Volga district of Kazan in compliance with address of citizens to the Ministry’s hotline. The fact of illegal quarry development, namely sand, was revealed in the course of the raid near Mirny village. The mineral resources were used without an appropriate license. Upon arrival to the site, inspectors found 4 KAMAZ trucks loaded with sand, two motor vehicles and an excavator. Together with Police officers of the Police Department No. 10 “Industrial” of the Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Kazan, they apprehended offenders involved in this violation, and the latter gave their explanations. Photo and video materials were drawn up, and at present the work on identification of owners of the above indicated equipment is carried out. The damage inflicted on the environment is being estimated.
