The enactment "On payment rates for the negative impact on the environment and additional coefficients" was adopted to ensure implementation of new legislative regulation in the nature protection field, as it is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. No increase in the financial burden on business entities is expected after adoption of the enactment. On the contrary, the companies will be able to adjust the amount to be paid subtracting the expenditures for the nature protection events. At present, the annual budget revenue from the payments for the negative impact on the environment in the Russian Federation amounts to about 27 billion rubles (in 2014 – 27.7 billion rubles, in 2015 – 26.8 billion rubles), which makes up 0.04 – 0.05% of the GDP.
