Back in August, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology discovered a violation in the city of Almetyevsk. At the entrance to the pond near the Stepnoi Zai river, ZAO “Spetsgidrostroy” installed a fence from the corrugated board and filled the shore with earth. On-site worked heavy equipment: excavator, tractor, and truck KAMAZ. On the opposite side of the pond, a pit was dug.

100 new green areas will appear in Tatarstan within the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources announced a competition among the kindergartens and schools of the republic. To participate, it is necessary to send an application in an arbitrary form to e-mail ecokonkurs@tatar.ru before May 15, 2017, with a description of the environmental education work carried out in the kindergarten/school and the rationale for why your organization deserves to win the contest. The 100 most active kindergartens and schools will receive planting material for the creation of green plots. 

Students of Nizhnekamsk school No. 11 took part in making birdhouses within the framework of #ECO-spring2017. Houses for feathered friends were made by schoolchildren on technology lessons. All they will be hanged in the nearest forest. The idea of ​​making bird houses was offered to schoolchildren by the inspectors of the Zakamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on the eco-lesson.

How are nature and man interconnected? In what condition are the water objects of the area? What is agroecology? These and other environmental issues were discussed by the Buinsk gymnasium students on the XVI regional environmental conference “Nature and Us”. With a salutatory word, specialists of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed the participants.

Residents of Almetyevsk suggested the head of the district to make an orchard in the city. “Public space will not only beautify our city, but also improve the ecological situation,” people said about the advantages. The idea of ​​landscaping the territory was announced at the regional seminar “The Year of Ecology in Almetyevsk”. 

Landfills of construction waste were discovered by inspectors of the Prikamsky territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan during the inspection within the framework of the sanitary and ecological two-month period. The natural beauty of the Tukaevsky district (namely, the villages of Krugloe Pole and Betki) was ruined by heaps of boxes, boards and pieces of furniture. 

Almetyevsk schoolchildren took part in an ecological brain-ring. Representatives of seven teenage clubs of the city fought for the title of “Expert of nature”. To become the first in the competition, the participants made enormous efforts. They tried to answer questions quicker than others, solve riddles and compose verses. Ecological literacy of the teams was evaluated by specialists from the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The dangers of emissions into the atmosphere and the re-use of waste paper were discussed by the Menselinsk schoolchildren at the scientific and practical conference “Facets of Creativity”. The event was held within the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. At the conference, the schoolchildren presented their environmental projects, which, according to the jury, appeared very interesting and original.

Those who decided to test their knowledge of the environment answered 35 questions of a theoretical and practical nature. Test tasks were developed by the organizers together with students of the Faculty of Biology of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The results of the dictation will be summed up on April 17.

On April 15 in many countries around the world the Day of Environmental Knowledge is celebrated. On this day, the kids of the secondary school No. 173 decided to share their knowledge of nature with the children of Derbyshkinsky orphanage. Together with the teachers they sang songs, conducted interactive games and cleaned the territory of the boarding school. The event was conducted by Elena Gilmizyanova, the leading specialist of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
