The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea will cooperate in the field of environmental protection. The agreement on cooperation was signed today in the administration of the Bakhchisaray region by the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev and the Minister of Ecology of Crimea Gennady Naraev. The heads of nature protection agencies noted that joint work will allow the regions to solve the most pressing issues on preserving the natural resources of our country.
The agreement provides for the implementation of joint measures aimed at improving the state of the environment and ensuring environmental safety of the republics, developing state and targeted programs, state environmental monitoring, environmental and geological surveillance, and improving the environmental education system. In addition, it is planned to exchange experience in the implementation of investment projects, in the field of handling waste products of production and consumption, on the functioning of specially protected natural areas and the development of mineral resources, interaction in improving the quality of the environment and public health.
