In Nizhnekamsk district, in the village of Nizhnyaya Uratma, under the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, comprehensive exercises were held to confirm the readiness of JSC "Geology" for actions to localize oil and petroleum products spills. 

During the survey of the territory of the Sovetsky district of Kazan by inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology, unauthorized placement of construction waste on Mira Street in the residential area of Samosyrovo was revealed. 

An eco-lesson was held at the Malobugulminsky school, where the children learned many amazing facts about the usual garbage, about separate waste collection and recycling. 

A new recycling collection point has started operating in Kazan. It is located at 6 Vasilchenko Street. The site is a fenced area where containers for different types of waste and things are installed: waste paper, plastic, furniture, batteries, appliances, clothes and other things are accepted. Residents can leave recyclables here for free.

The Ministry of Ecology reminds that the agency provides information on the estimated background concentrations of pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Yelabuga at the request of enterprises.

During the survey of the Yelabuga district, inspectors of the Prikamsky territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan revealed unauthorized waste storage in the Tanaiskoye rural settlement. The area of the contaminated site was 132 sq.m.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky and Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public organizations Olga Artemyeva told about environmental campaigns of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan at a press conference in the Tatar-inform news agency today.

Pupils of Kazan kindergartens No. 128 and No. 408 learned about birds and their way of life. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan told how to prepare for the meeting of the "winter guests". 

On January 9, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan begins accepting applications for subsidies from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan to non-profit organizations (with the exception of subsidies to state (municipal) institutions) in order to financially cover the costs associated with the implementation of measures for the accounting and control of radioactive substances and radioactive waste in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2024.

Tatarstan has once again become the winner of the All-Russian coastal cleaning campaign "Water of Russia", implemented within the framework of the national project "Ecology" (federal project "Conservation of unique water bodies"). The winner's diploma was presented today to Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky at VDNKh within the framework of the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" in Moscow.
