A personnel school on conservation business "Zapovedny Tatarstan" was held in Tatarstan

From March 12 to March 14, 2026, on the basis of the health and educational complex "Baytik", a personnel school on conservation business "Zapovedny Tatarstan" was held. The participants of the intensive course were 40 schoolchildren and students from 12 districts of the republic, as well as Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, who passed the competitive selection.

The program included panel sessions, meetings with experts, role-playing games and practical exercises. The participants got acquainted with modern approaches to nature conservation and developed solutions to environmental cases.

As part of the educational block, a visiting program was held in the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve. At the Museum of Nature, Elena Unkovskaya, Deputy Director for Environmental Education and Tourism, spoke about the history of the creation of the reserve and its conservation activities. Representatives of the Forest Fire Center, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Biological Resources and the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society also addressed the participants.

The final of the intensive course was the defense of team projects dedicated to the development of specially protected natural areas and solving urgent environmental problems.

The results of the work were summarized at the panel session "Conservation Vector: results and prospects". Olga Manidicheva, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the discussion. She noted the importance of training young specialists in the environmental field and stressed that such projects help young people determine their professional trajectory, which corresponds to the goals of the national Youth and Children project.

During the meeting, Dilara Satikova, Chairman of the RMEOO "It will be Clean" of the Republic of Tatarstan, also spoke. Following the results of the project defense, the most active participants were awarded with diplomas and memorable prizes.

Intensive became the first stage of the Reserved Tatarstan project, which is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. The organizers are the Regional Youth Environmental Organization "It will be clean" together with the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve", the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Biological Resources with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Environmental landings, educational events and an internship in the Volga-Kama Nature Reserve for ten of the most active participants are waiting for the participants ahead.
