Young conservationists have begun to immerse themselves in the conservation of Tatarstan!

12 March 2026, Thursday

The ecological and educational project "Reserved Tatarstan" from the regional youth environmental public organization "It will be clean" has started today. 40 schoolchildren and students gathered at the recreation and educational complex "Baytik". The project is being implemented thanks to the grant support of the President of the Russian Federation provided by the Presidential Nature Foundation.

The organizers have prepared a rich three-day program for the children. After the official part, a panel session "Protected areas: the territory of life where our hands are needed" was held. Veronika Isaeva, a specialist from the Land Resources Protection Department of the Ministry of Ecology, took part in the discussion. Experts talked about how the nature protection system works, why protected areas are called the "living framework of the region," and how the energy of youth, volunteerism, and scientific research are a real support for nature.

The children will also have to complete competitive tasks, listen to lectures and show their skills at master classes. Ten of the most proactive eco-activists will have the opportunity to complete a four-day internship at the Volzhsko-Kamsky Nature Reserve, where they will get acquainted with nature conservation and communicate with the reserve's specialists.

Within the framework of the project "Reserved Tatarstan", which takes place in support of the national project "Environmental well-being", a series of events will be held from March to October 2026: a personnel school on conservation, environmental landings and a job fair.

The Reserved Tatarstan project is being implemented jointly with the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve and the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Biological Resources with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
