Today at the Popov technopark in Innopolis an expanded meeting on the results of the work of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor for 2025 was held. The event was attended by the Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the head of Rosprirodnadzor, Svetlana Radionova. Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin also took part in the board.
Before the meeting, the meeting participants got acquainted with the exhibition of modern environmental technologies and projects of youth eco-movements.
Fayaz Shakirov, head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, summed up the results of 2025 in his report. The Department, operating in three republics, conducted 1,158 inspections, provided more than 3,400 public services and accepted over 46,000 reports. 1,510 administrative cases have been initiated for violations, 175 claims for damages amounting to 5.3 billion rubles have been filed.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that with the growth of industrial production in the republic to 110%, environmental issues remain a priority. In 30 years, with a threefold increase in GRP, it was possible to reduce emissions into the atmosphere by 25.6% and reduce the discharge of polluted waters by 68%. Over 8 years, 1,362 environmental protection measures worth 107 billion rubles have been implemented.
Tatarstan has a plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, which is 10 years ahead of the national target. Providing high-quality drinking water, waste disposal and remediation of polluted lands remain the most important tasks.
Following the meeting, republican and departmental awards were presented, and Rosprirodnadzor and KFU signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental education.
