The ceremony of awarding of winners of the Republican Contest “School Eco-patrol” was held today at the Victory Park of Kazan. Pupils of secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in it from September 1, 2014 until May 1, 2015. The contest was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Information Support and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan. Using a specially developed mobile application, pupils of educational establishments registered the information on unauthorized waste placement sites and referred it to the Ministry, and then inspectors implemented measures aimed at their liquidation. All in all, 1,166 photo messages were received regarding unauthorized waste placement sites. 

On May 22, 2015, inspectors of the State Ecological Surveillance under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a raid to the Volga district of Kazan in compliance with address of citizens to the Ministry’s hotline. The fact of illegal quarry development, namely sand, was revealed in the course of the raid near Mirny village. The mineral resources were used without an appropriate license. Upon arrival to the site, inspectors found 4 KAMAZ trucks loaded with sand, two motor vehicles and an excavator. Together with Police officers of the Police Department No. 10 “Industrial” of the Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Kazan, they apprehended offenders involved in this violation, and the latter gave their explanations. Photo and video materials were drawn up, and at present the work on identification of owners of the above indicated equipment is carried out. The damage inflicted on the environment is being estimated.

On May 23, 2015 in the framework of the Spartakiade of state officers of the Republic of Tatarstan, track-and-field competitions were held at the football and track arena of Kazan Central Stadium. All in all, 27 teams took part, including the team of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan that was rated the 9th. In the overall rating, the Ministry of Ecology holds the 6th place.

On May 27, 2015 the winners of the Republican contest “School eco-patrol” will be awarded at 10 am in the Victory Park of Kazan (the intersection of Bondarenko street and the avenue of Khusain Yamashev). Pupils of secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in it from September 1, 2014 until May 1, 2015.

An area-based seminar on “Social partnership of Children’s Social Organizations in the contest of standardization of pre-school education” was held in Tetyushi municipal district at the premises of the nursery “Skazka” in the framework of work carried out by the Resources Center for Ecological Education of Pre-school pupils and the International Program “Eco-Schools/Green Flag” where experts of the Trans-Volga Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took part.

         The event was aimed at generalization and dissemination of work experience on ecological education of pre-school pupils and involvement of nurseries of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation in the framework of the International program “Eco-school/Green flag”.

A current number of the e-magazine “Anti-corruption reporter” prepared by the Officer in charge of prevention of corruption and other offences at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ekaterina Piternova was issued. The magazine reflects the results of anti-corruption work of the Ministry during the first 4 months of 2015. Moreover, articles of journalists from various mass media were also covered. The magazine is placed on the website of the Ministry in the “Anti-corruption” section.

On May 23, the Saturday Work Campaign for cleaning of the territory of Kaban Lake will be held in Kazan with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan Town Hall.

Proponents of the ecological movement of the Republic of Tatarstan “BUDETCHISTO” (“It will be clean”), students of higher educational establishments, citizens of Kazan, as well as divers of the regional department of the Russian Geographical Society in Tatarstan will clean the bottom of Kaban Lake from litter. Anyone who feels like it can participate in the campaign, everyone gathers near the theatre n.a. G. Kamal from outside of Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda on May 23, 2015 at 9 am. All necessary equipment will be handed out then and there. 

On April 23, 2015, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the process of implementation of the State Program “Implementation of anti-corruption policy in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015 – 2020”. Following the results of the inspection it was specified that all necessary conditions for effective anti-corruption work and prevention of corruption violations have been created at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. On May 20, 2015, the events devoted to the Day of Volga will be held in Nikolskoe village of Laishevo district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The holiday is carried out by the UNESCO department “Development of fundamental principles of the Earth Charter to create sustainable community” under the Institute for the Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the framework of the Day of Volga, an open ecological “Academic lesson” will be held for pupils of Kazan and Laishevo by scientists of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan Federal University. Practical training with pupils regarding methods for drawing and analysis of water samples, data on deposits and soils, as well as visiting of the museum of Russian Folklore “Caravon” are also planned.
