Sustainable development of the field and economic risks of geological prospecting and exploration, state support of investments into geological prospecting and exploration, exploration of the Arctic Shelf and hard-to-recover reserves in the context of sanctions – these and other topics will be the most burning issues to discuss during the 13th International Exhibition “Mineral Resources-2016. Exploration. Prospection. Extraction” devoted to the 50th anniversary of the Day of Geologist. The event will be held in Moscow on March 29 – 31.

Moreover, the Festival of original geology-related songs “People go around the world” will be held in the framework of the exhibition. The event has been held since 2004 by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Subsurface Management Agency, and the Russian Geological Society with support of special-purpose committees of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; as well as the Union of Oil & Gas Producers of Russia. The exhibition “Mineral Resources-2016” and the events planned to be held in its framework will be the milestone in the preparation of industry-specific community to the VIII All-Russian Conference of Geologists (Moscow, 2016) and the XXXV Session of the International Geological Congress (Cape Town, 2016).
