The All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum will be held on December 4 in Moscow in the framework of the final event of the Year of Environment Protection — the IV All-Russian Meeting for Nature Protection. The event will be held at the international exposition center “Crocus Expo”.

Agreement aimed at improvement of town-planning and ecological situation in the city was signed between Kazan Town Hall, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and “Nefis Cosmetics” OAO. Subject to the agreement, “Nefis Cosmetics” OAO will plant a thousand large-sized trees this autumn in Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan in the framework of the project “Green record”.
The IV stage of the II Republican contest of youth innovation projects “Innovation test site “Tatarstan is the territory of the future” 2013 has been launched in Tatarstan. It was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Educational Establishment of Higher Professional Education “Kazan National Research Technological University” and Technopolis “Khimgrad”. The contest is aimed at providing young talented people with possibilities to start real research work right at school and elaborate their own project.

Filling stations of Almetyevsk will be equipped with recovery systems subject to the corresponding Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan as of February 6, 2013 under No. 152 on equipping of filling stations with devices for trapping of floating fractions.
This was discussed during the meeting with owners of filling stations that was held by the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ramil Nizamov. According to Ramil Nizamov, 470 filling stations out of 650 stations of the Republic of Tatarstan engaged in retail sales of engine fuel are located in settlements.
A mobile automated station for analytical monitoring of air pollution was put into operation in Almetyevsk, and it will provide service on the South-Eastern territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At present, 2 stationary posts of automated air control operate in Almetyevsk allowing to control activity of the nearest companies as possible sources of air pollution.

Mass Saturday work was carried out today at the forestland of Derbyshki village in Kazan. About three hundred people came to remove the remaining bitumen and plant the trees on the territory. Participants included fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, proponents of ecological public organizations including the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Geographical Society”, public organization “Help another one”, Interregional ecological organization “EKA”, Regional Department of Public Organization “Center for Ecological Culture and Politics”, students of Kazan (Volga) Federal University, Kazan State Agricultural University, Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan State Technological University (Kazan Aviation Institute) named after Tupolev, citizens of Derbyshki village, summer residents of horticultural society “Medik”, and journalists. Hard-to-access places were cleaned from bitumen in the framework of the event, and about 1,200 seedlings of pines, mountain ashes, and birches provided by the State Public Establishment “Suburban forestry enterprise” and Landscaping enterprise “Park-Service” were planted.

Today, a meeting of the board was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regarding results of work for the last 9 months of the current year. During the meeting, the main indices of the ministry’s activity were presented.
At the end the best experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded with certificates of merit and letters of gratitude.

The conference of founders of the Regional Sports Public Association “Federation of Canoe and Baidarka Rowing in the Republic of Tatarstan” was held at the Rowing Center. In the framework of the event, members of the conference – sports veterans, regional representatives, and coaches – unanimously voted for creation of the federation of canoe and baidarka rowing in the Republic. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov was unanimously elected President of the Federation.
A charitable telemarathon was live aired on the NTR-TVC channel. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aydar Metchin, as well as representatives of town-forming and budget-generating companies of Nizhnekamsk, famous sportsmen, and public leaders of Nizhnekamsk participated in a two-hour program.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov visited “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” OAO in the framework of a business trip. The Minister inspected biological waste treatment facilities of the company, where at present a new air pollution control station is being accepted for operation. It is a fifth such facility in the automated system for air monitoring of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” OAO — four of them are located along the perimeter of the territory of the joint-stock company and in the sanitary protection zone. Moreover, Artem Sidorov familiarized with implementation of nature protection events at the closed and actual landfills, and at buffer pond on the stream Strelochny log.
