The next stage of the competition has started within the framework of the All-Russian program "Trees — monuments of wildlife" – voting for the main tree of the country.

An eco–talk on the topic "Garbage – the enemy of nature" was conducted by inspectors of the Zakamsky TA of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Kamskopolyansky school No. 1 of the Nizhnekamsk district. Fourth graders learned what household and industrial garbage can be.

Today, the son of the employee of the Prikamsky TA of the Ministry of Ecology Leyli Galimova – Zamir remembers his great-grandfather. Suleiman Valiullovich Yakupov was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army back in 1939, when there was a war with Japan. Then he was only 18 years old.

This Saturday, May 20, the Volga Day eco-marathon will be held as part of the All-Russian campaign "Water of Russia" of the federal project "Conservation of Unique Water Bodies" of the national project "Ecology". Every year, the Volga Day gathers the most active and caring residents of the Republic on the banks of the river. 

The green "Flamingo" of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, after modernization, begins monitoring the water bodies of Tatarstan. This was told today by employees of the Ministry of Ecology at a special press tour to journalists of the republican media.

During the monitoring of the Yutazinsky district, specialists of the Priiksky territorial administration of the Ministry identified an unauthorized waste dump near the village of Baylarovo. The area of the cluttered plot was 290 sq.m., the volume was 232 cubic meters.

As part of the monitoring of the territory of the Chistopolsky district, the inspectors of the Volga-Kama TA carried out a second visit to the village of Chistopolsky Settlements on the Yerykla river. Here, in April, inspectors discovered an illegal connection of the drainage network of house No. 69 on Chapaev Street to the drainage system of the village. Water samples were taken on the spot and exceedances of the maximum permissible concentrations for a number of substances were detected.

The city plogging race "Clean Coast" was held on the Tabeyev Embankment in Naberezhnye Chelny. 21 school teams took part in the race. And they were helped by representatives of the Supschool "Standing on the water", who collected garbage on the Kama River on boats. Teaming up, the activists sorted the garbage, dividing it into three fractions: glass, plastic and other waste. In 45 minutes, the participants of the eco-run managed to collect more than 80 bags of garbage.

Inspectors of the Northern TA during a raid in the village of Verkhny Poshalym of the Arsky district recorded a violation of environmental legislation - unauthorized occupation of a water body through the construction of an illegal GTS.

Federal Water Resources Agency held a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on regulating the modes of operation of reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade.
